Screenings for 3-5 Year Old Children with Suspected Delays
Cache County School District will be conducting screenings for 3-5 year old children with suspected delays on Thursday, December 5th, and Friday, December 6th 2024, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The screenings will be held at our Professional Development/Technology building located at 2035 N. 1200 E. in North Logan.
This is for children ages 3-5 who live within our district boundaries and are NOT eligible for Kindergarten in 2024-25.This screening will determine if they qualify for a special education preschool program for children with developmental delays. Screening areas will include: speech, academics, gross/fine motor skills, vision, hearing, behavior, etc. Children who demonstrate delays in any of these areas are encouraged to attend this screening.
If your child shows a delay in any area during the screening, a second appointment will be scheduled to do more in-depth testing. After the second round of testing, a meeting will be scheduled to go over the test results and to see if your child qualifies for the program or not.
