CCSD High School athletes excel and advance in regional, state competitions

Student-athletes across the district are beginning to see their months of hard work pay off as many advance to regional competitions. Teams from across the district have seen great success so far this season and will continue to excel in regional and state competitions. 


District drill teams competed in the regional competition at Mountain Crest High School on January 21st. Ridgeline won the region title followed by Sky View, Mountain Crest, and Green Canyon. Swimming teams competed in the regional championship on January 25. Sky View High School swept first place for girls, boys, and overall team swimming. Wrestling will compete in the regional competition at Mountain Crest on Feb 7-8th.  Basketball regionals are currently underway, with games being held each week. 


District cheer teams have also been busy competing in various competitions throughout the state. Green Canyon took 1st in the Northern Region competition on January 18th at Corner and then took 1st at the state competition on January 25th. Ridgeline competed in two categories at the region and state competitions and took 1st place in the state in the coed show routine. Sky View will be competing in the Weber State Spirit Invitational on February 1. 


State competitions will be held on the following dates:

  • Boy’s Basketball — February 18 and 21 at home sites and 27-29 at Weber State University 
  • Girl’s Basketball — February 19 and 22 at home sites and 27-29 at Weber State University
  • Drill Team — January 24 and 31 at Utah Valley University 
  • Swimming — February 7-8 at Brigham Young University
  • Wrestling — February 14-15 at Utah Valley University


Students, family, and community members are invited to come out to support our district athletes as they compete at the state championships on these dates!
