Celebrating the Right to Vote: 150 Years of Women's Suffrage in Utah
The year 2020 marks 150 years since the first vote by a woman in Utah and the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which granted all US women the right to vote.
Because of these anniversaries, many are calling 2020 the "Year of the Woman." Cache County School District has teamed up with the Cache Celebration of Women's Suffrage 2020 Committee to bring awareness to Utah's rich women's rights history. A collection of interactive voting booth displays, covered with interesting facts and information, are located in various schools across the district.
