Nibley Elementary students provide service with "Kindness Matters" project
This holiday season, third grade students at Nibley Elementary participated in the "Kindness Matters" Thanksgiving project. Working as a team, three classes put together 180 hygiene kits, 150 stuffed animal kits, and tied 18 comfort blankets to go to the Little Lambs Foundation for Kids. Little Lambs Foundation for Kids is devoted to providing basic necessities for low-income Utah families and children. The foundation stocks local safe houses and gives comfort kits to children who are placed in foster care or who are coming from strenuous family situations. Though the students at Nibley Elementary may never meet the children these kits are going to, they knew they were participating in something important. “They had so much fun and felt grateful they could make a difference in the lives of other kids,” remarked Sandy Curtis, a teacher at Nibley Elementary. "These students are angels in action.”
