Cache Education Foundation celebrates its 30th Year Anniversary at the Christmas Tree Jubilee
On November 19, the Cache Education Foundation (CEF) celebrated its 30th year anniversary and held its annual Christmas Tree Jubilee. For the past four years, the Christmas Tree Jubilee has raised money to benefit students in Cache County School District by providing technology resources such as chromebooks, projectors, calculators, and more. This year, seats and tables at the Jubilee were purchased by over 200 community members from across the valley. Dinner was followed by the recognition of 12 major donors, a silent auction, and a live auction of beautifully decorated Christmas trees and wreaths. From the auction items, Christmas trees and other generous donations, Cache Education Foundation earned over $37,000 which will go directly into CCSD schools.
In addition to hosting the Christmas Tree Jubilee, CEF provides many other resources for students. CEF connects students to scholarship opportunities, provides grants for teachers to purchase books, art supplies, and equipment for their classrooms, and sponsors the “Hats Off Award,” which is given to deserving and outstanding educators within the district. True to its motto that “There is no better investment than the education of a child,” CEF works hard to help provide a quality teaching and learning environment for students.
Teri Lewis, the CEF Executive Director of all Committees, shared her gratitude for the generosity of the community: “This would not be possible without the support of many businesses and individuals,” she explained. “They have made a huge difference in the lives of hundreds of students.”
