On Monday, September 23rd, the U.S. Department of Education recognized River Heights Elementary as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School. River Heights is one of 356 schools in the nation chosen for excelling in academic performance or closing gaps in achievement amongst student groups.

This year at the Paris Games, Smithfield native and Sky View High School alumnus Conner Mantz competed for the United States.
