For the Fall sports season, fifty-four seniors from Cache County schools have been named Academic All-State honorees. The Academic All-State Award is the most prestigious honor the UHSAA presents to senior students. This award recognizes students based on their academic excellence and their athletic abilities.

Jensen Kleven is 2024’s Honors in Education Awardee for “Distinguished Service in Special Education”
Kleven, who teaches Essential Elements at North Park Elementary School, won the statewide award for her exceptional ability to connect with and support her students.

Emma “Super” Smith Receives Accolade at the 2024 UtSTA Awards
Super Smith, a teacher at Ridgeline High School, was honored as the Utah Science Teaching Association’s 2024 “Outstanding Physics Educator.”

Maria Jones is UtSTA’s 2024 “Outstanding 6th-grade Science Educator”
Maria Jones received the Utah Science Teaching Association award for her engaging, hands-on 6th-grade dual-immersion SEED Science class, which she teaches in Spanish at Heritage Elementary School.

“Sticking Together” at Birch Creek Elementary School
Birch Creek Elementary’s new art installation, “Sticking Together,” involved all 750 students and staff within the school.

River Heights Elementary is a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School
On Monday, September 23rd, the U.S. Department of Education recognized River Heights Elementary as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School. River Heights is one of 356 schools in the nation chosen for excelling in academic performance or closing gaps in achievement amongst student groups.

“Driving for Education” Golf Tournament Raises $28,000 for Cache County School District

Sky View alumnus Conner Mantz finishes 8th overall in the Paris 2024 Olympic marathon.
The Olympic Games are renowned for athletic excellence, with countries from all around the world bringing in only the best of the best to represent their home nations and compete to bring home the Gold. This year at the Paris Games, Smithfield native and Sky View High School alumnus Conner Mantz competed for the United States.

Adult Education program graduation ceremony highlights the achievements of its remarkable students

On Friday, June 14th, district administrators, teachers, and staff joined with law enforcement and emergency medical services teams at Green Canyon High School for an interagency emergency response training exercise.

North Cache Middle School students run the equivalent of 443 marathons
During the 2023-24 school year, North Cache teacher Laura Haynie introduced her PE students to the Marathon Kids program, which transformed students' attitudes toward fitness and fostered a commitment to lifelong activity.

The Cache Education Foundation recently announced its annual Hats Off Award recipients and runners-up. Recipients were also named for other educator awards, including the Hansen Honorarium, the Bill Lindauer Award, and the Just My Wish Foundation's Media Specialist of the Year.
