Why Phonics Matters

Phonics is the foundation of reading. It’s the method of teaching children how letters represent sounds, and how those sounds blend together to form words. • Keep it fun and short – Short, playful sessions are more effective than long drills.
• Celebrate effort – Encourage progress, not perfection. Building confidence is key!
