Ridgeline Riverhawks Cheer Squad Wins Nationals

The Ridgeline Cheer team poses with their Nationals trophy

The Lady Riverhawks Cheer Squad has had a highly successful Winter 2024-2025 season. After claiming the Region 11 and Utah 4A State Runner-Ups crowns, the team flew to Anaheim, California. There, they competed in the Large/Super division of the United Spirit Association Nationals, claiming first place in the Advanced bracket!

"The biggest thing I told the girls was that they are totally capable," coach Jenny Stolworthy said. "They had the talent and the ability to do well. I told them they should believe in themselves because I think the biggest obstacle is just believing that you can!"

Melia Richards, a Riverhawks senior and cheer squad leader, expressed her excitement about the team’s victory.

“I don’t think we were really sure what the outcome was going to be,” she said. “My mindset was, ‘I’m just going to go in, do my best and see what happens.’ And we did it! We are all so excited, and we really came together as a team.”
