Boys Basketball:

The Green Canyon High School Boys Basketball Team netted their most successful season in school history. The Wolves went undefeated in Region play and advanced to the 4A State Championship, taking second place!

“Our guys were really locked in,” coach Logan Brown told Deseret News. “They were ready to go and excited to play our ‘brand’ of basketball. This is a group that has put in a lot of time, and we’ve gotten so much better. They’re so connected on the court and also off the court.”

Girls Basketball:

Ridgeline’s Girls Basketball Team capped off their perfect season with Region and State Championship wins! The Lady Riverhawks were led by senior Emilee Skinner, a McDonald’s All-American and one of the top-scoring female basketball players in Utah’s history. The Riverhawks’ three-peat championship was another feather in the cap for a team with a record of 102-4 over the past four years. Four Riverhawks were also named in the Deseret News “4A All-Tournament Team,” including sophomore Abby Munford, Tournament MVP.

“I’m just super happy for the team and for the girls,” Skinner told Deseret News. “They work so hard, and everyone is such good friends. I’m just happy that we won and we competed.”

Cheerleading:

Ridgeline’s Cheer Squad capped an impressive season with a Region title, second place in the “Overall” 4A State tournament, and a win at the United Spirit Association Nationals competition in Anaheim, California.

"The biggest thing I told the girls was that they are totally capable," coach Jenny Stolworthy said. "They had the talent and the ability to do well. I told them they should believe in themselves because I think the biggest obstacle is just believing that you can!"

Drill:

The Riverhawks Drill team dominated regional and state competitions in the Dance category, claiming first place in the event and second place overall. Their Region 11 win was the 7th in school history, a feat the team proudly displays on their Instagram page.

“We love this amazing team so much,” the team Historian posted. “They have such a unique bond, and that shows when you watch them perform! We are so lucky to be in such a talented region that pushes and inspires us every single year.”
