A Tribute to a Colleague: River Heights Elementary's Teacher of the Year

Stacie Williamson, Lynn Ringer, and Randall Bagley smile together at the CCSD Board of Education Meeting.

Lynn is incredibly devoted to her students, to perfecting her craft, and to delivering the best possible experience for her kids. She is always shifting, adjusting, and asking questions to better herself as an educator. By putting the kids at the center of the learning experience, she constantly encourages them to discover and explore.

She is exceptionally talented at taking in students who are having the hardest time at school or at home for various reasons, and creating a warm, safe, predictable, and loving environment for them to thrive in.

Furthermore, Lynn is a generous and uplifting mentor. She emphasizes the value of working collaboratively as a whole grade-level team, which serves as the foundation for their incredibly strong working relationships. She will drop anything to help out someone in need—let me say that one again—she will drop anything to help someone in need.

I don't think Lynn truly understands how incredible she is because she always sells herself short. If she could only see herself through our eyes, she would know that she is an absolutely extraordinary, one-in-a-million teacher.
