Special Education Preschool Classrooms

Children aged 3-5 who qualify for special education services. 

Anytime during the school year (pending screens and evaluations).

1. Initial screening identifies potential delays.
2. Follow-up testing is scheduled if needed.
3. Results determine qualification for services.

This screening will determine if your child qualifies for a special education preschool program for children with developmental delays. 

Screening areas will include: speech, academics, gross/fine motor skills, vision, hearing, behavior, etc. Children who demonstrate delays in any of these areas are encouraged to attend this screening.

If your child shows a delay in any area during the screening, a second appointment will be scheduled to do more in-depth testing. After the second round of testing, a meeting will be scheduled to go over the test results and to see if your child qualifies for the program or not.

This is for children ages 3-5 with suspected developmental delays, who live within our district boundaries and are NOT eligible for Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. 

**Children who are currently in the preschool program or receiving speech services DO NT need to be reassessed at this screening.***

The next screening will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on:

• Thursday, September 11, 2025
• Friday, September 12, 2025 

The next screening will be held at the Professional Development/Technology Building located at 2035 N. 1200 E in North Logan
