Children are eligible for the Community Preschool Program if they meet the following criteria:

• Age Requirement: Must turn 4 on or before September 1st of the current year.
• Residency Requirement: Your family must live within the boundaries of Cache County School District.

This program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten through structured play, social interaction, and foundational academic activities. It’s an inclusive and welcoming environment where all children can thrive.
 

• Application Period: Applications open every mid-January - February 15th for the following school year.
• Missed the Deadline? Families who miss the initial application period can still join the waitlist. While spots are not guaranteed, being on the waitlist gives your child the opportunity to fill any openings that may arise.

Submitting an application or joining the waitlist is the first step toward getting your child enrolled in our preschool program.

Preschools are available at the following schools:

• Millville, Nibley, Greenville, Summit, and Lewiston Elementary Schools
• Mountain Crest and Sky View High Schools
   

Preschool is held Monday through Thursday. AM and PM sessions are available. However, exact start and end times will not be determined until August.

Typical hours are 9:05 a.m. - 11:35 a.m. and 1:05 p.m. - 3:35 p.m.
 

Tuition Costs:

• $125 per month for two days per week
• $175 per month for four days per week
• A one-time, non-refundable $50 registration and supply fee is required by August 31st or upon acceptance.
• Fee waivers are available and based on household size and income (same rubric as qualifying for free lunch), as well as certain risk factors.
   

Please note that transportation is not provided.

Families are responsible for getting their child to and from preschool.

Families meeting income guidelines may qualify for reduced tuition or fee waiver. Assistance is based on household size and gross annual or monthly income. (The same rubric is used for qualifying for free and reduced lunch.) Assistance is also based on certain risk factors.

Enrollment priority is determined by the following factors:

1. Priority Enrollment:
   1. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
   2. Students who meet specific risk factors as outlined in the application.
2. Lottery-based selection
   1. Remaining spots are filled using a lottery system.

If your child is selected, you’ll receive a notification email with further instructions. Remember to wait to complete the Cache School District online registration until you receive the acceptance notification email. The acceptance email will contain instructions for registering.
 

We’ve made the application process as simple as possible:

• If Applications are Open: Complete the online application form available in mid-January through February 15th.
• If Applications are Closed: Join the waitlist by clicking the appropriate link above.
