Middle Schools
Middle School is Both a Transition and a Bridge!
Middle School is an important time of transition and growth, bridging the foundations built in elementary school and preparing students for high school. In grades 7-8, students take on new challenges, develop resilience, and gain a greater sense of independence. Our middle schools are committed to creating a supportive environment where every student feels connected and empowered to succeed.
Relationships Come First
At our middle schools, relationships are at the heart of student success. We prioritize helping students build strong connections with peers, teachers, and their community. Here’s how:
- A Place for Everyone: We foster an inclusive environment where all students belong and feel valued.
- Lifelong Friendships: Middle school is where many students form friendships that last well beyond their school years.
- Expert Teachers: Highly trained faculty engage in regular professional development to stay current with the best teaching practices.
A Challenging and Support Academic Environment
Our middle schools provide a robust academic program designed to engage and challenge students while offering the support they need to thrive.
- Core Classes: Comprehensive instruction in Language Arts, Math, Science, History, and Social Studies.
- STEM Opportunities: Courses in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics help students explore innovative concepts and careers.
- Academic Support: Tutoring and other resources are available to help students succeed at their own pace.
- Mental Health and Emotional Well-Being: Licensed counselors and social-emotional learning programs support students’ mental health and help them navigate the challenges of middle school.
This well-rounded approach ensures students grow academically, socially, and emotionally during these important years.
What is My Child Learning in Their Classes?
Middle school is a time for students to build critical thinking, independence, and responsibility as they prepare for high school and beyond. Through engaging lessons, diverse courses, and extracurricular activities, students explore their interests, develop essential skills, and gain confidence to face future challenges.
