Welcome to Clothing 1 and FACS!  We will have a GREAT year this year and learn a lot of skills that will be very useful to you throughout your life.  I am so excited that you are a part of the BEST classes taught at South Cache!

Clothing 1

Clothing is such an important part of our lives.  It affects everything from our attitude to our moods. I love this quote by Quentin Bell:

"Our clothes are too much a part of us for most of us ever to be entirely indifferent to their condition:  it is as though the fabric were indeed a natural extension of the body, or even the soul."

In this class you will be refining the skills you learned in FACS and adding to those skills.  You will learn how to care for your clothing and how to create clothing using  patterns.  You will learn skills that will be of life long value to you.

FACS Eploration

In this class we cover the following areas of study:  Clothing and Textiles, foods and nutrition, money skills, child care, interior design and personal management.  We will be creating and participating in great projects in each of these areas.  We will aslo discuss career options available in each of these areas.
