Michael Monson, Principal

Mike Monson began his career in education, teaching Mathematics and Physical Education at Granger High School in Salt Lake City. From there he took a job teaching overseas with the Department of Defense Schools, spending nearly eleven years in high schools in Japan, England and Germany. For over 20 years, he has worked in administration in both Logan and Cache County School Districts. He has been a Principal, Assistant Principal and worked at the District Office levels. He and his wife Kris, have three children (all proud graduates of Sky View), and four grandchildren. He enjoys golfing, skiing, running, biking, hiking, reading, traveling, and working in his yard.  He has a burning knowledge in his heart that "It's a great day to be a Bobcat!"

Phil Morris, Assistant Principal

Philip Morris received his Bachelors in Spanish Teaching and PE/Coaching from Brigham Young University in 2001.  After working in software industry, construction, and starting a business, he returned to education in 2005.  He taught Spanish and PE at Marsh Valley High School in Arimo, Idaho, for 9 years where he also coached Football, Volleyball, and Track.

He continued his education in 2010 and received Masters in Education Administration from The University of Idaho in 2011.  Upon conclusion of his degree he spent three years as an assistant principal at Kearns High School in Kearns, Utah.  He is glad to be at Sky View where every day is a Great day to be a Bobcat.

Phil currently resides in Hyde Park with his beautiful wife and five fantastic children.

Brady Fonnesbeck, Assistant Principal

Brady Fonnesbeck received his Bachelors in Biology Teaching from BYU in 2005 and began his teaching career in his hometown of St. George, Utah, teaching at the middle school level and eventually Desert Hills High School.  While at Desert Hills, Brady migrated toward teaching in the Health Sciences.  During this time, Brady also completed his Masters in Educational Leadership via SUU, was an assistant football coach, and also the Head Softball coach. 

In the Fall of 2018, Brady came to Sky View to replace Cindy Parkinson with the added opportunity to begin working on a Doctorate Degree.  Since arriving, Brady realizes now that the real opportunity was joining the Family here at Sky View! 

In his spare time Brady likes to read, binge TV, watch the Utah Jazz, play any sport his children are involved in, and run 5ks.  He is also very proud of his membership in the Sky View Faculty Basketball Association. 

Brady lives in Hyde Park with his wife Emily and 4 children
