Degrees and Certifications:

Shellie Healy - Principal

I grew up in Sandy, Utah and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Utah.  Upon graduation in 1995, we moved to Montpelier, Idaho where I started my career with Bear Lake School District.  Our dream was to live by the waters of Bear Lake but winters there were far too cold, plus declining enrollment in the district meant looking for another job was inevitable.

In 2000, we moved to Smithfield, Utah while I continued to work in Idaho at Oakwood Elementary in Preston teaching 5th grade.  In 2003, I started working for Cache School District.  I taught 1st grade at Sunrise, 5th grade at Summit, and 5th grade at Birch Creek.  During my time with Cache, I earned an ESL Endorsement, Gifted and Talented Endorsement, and an Elementary Math Endorsement.  At Utah State University, I earned a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and received my Administrative/Supervisory Concentration certificate.

In 2015, after 20 years in the classroom, I was fortunate to be chosen as the principal at Park Elementary and it has been a fantastic experience.  The support in this community is beyond compare.  Richmond residents truly value a great education.  In 2017, our school moved from the Park School building, which had been there since 1920, to the newly renovated, White Pine, which was originally built for 6th and 7th graders in 1999.  This was a monumental task, which included a summer full of construction.  We can now call White Pine Elementary our new home.  My door is always open so please feel free to stop by anytime.
