North Park Elementary has been operating since 1966, we currently are serving the needs of North Logan residents. We are currently providing kindergarten through 6th grade classes. Enrollment is at approximately 420 students at this time. We also house a life skills classroom and a preschool classroom. Speech and language, academic resources, and ESL services are provided.
Our goal is to make sure that all students are at or above reading grade levels. At-risk students are identified early each year and receive specific explicit individualized instruction provided by qualified para-professionals using research based programs. This also allows the classroom teacher to challenge those readers who are at and above benchmark in their reading. A Gifted and Talented SEM session was added in the 2010-2011 school year.
Currently, our kindergarten classes are three hours rather than the traditional two an a half hours, helping students meet our reading benchmark.
The State of Utah distributes money earned from the Trust-fund each year. We are using these monies to hire aids to facilitate our tier II reading program and early morning tutoring sessions in order to meet yearly progress in proficiency and growth.
Come stop by and meet our amazing teachers and staff. We would be happy to help you.
