Hi, I'm Troy Pugmire, Principal of Lewiston Elementary. I am very privileged to be part of this school community. I taught third grade for seven years, fifth grade for eight years, and have been a principal for ten years. I thoroughly enjoy working with kids, teaching, and the service opportunities that are associated with being an administrator. My wife and my children are the greatest blessings in my life.
I grew up in St. Charles, ID, in the Bear Lake Valley. I earned an Associate Degree in Elementary Education from Ricks College. I have an ESL endorsement. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Masters Degree of Instructional Technology, and an Administrative Endorsement from USU.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching and playing sports, hiking, fishing, hunting, boating, and anything else that allows me to be active and outside.
I have an adorable and lovely wife and six wonderful children, three boys and three girls. Our favorite thing to do is spend time with each other. We especially love to go on family vacations.
I grew up in the country and am a country boy at heart. I always feel most at home in nature. I enjoy both indoor and outdoor sports.
We truly have outstanding dedicated teachers and staff. The PTA, parents, and community are very supportive. We take the education of our children seriously. This includes continuously searching for and using the best teaching practices.
I am fortunate to be the principal at Lewiston Elementary School and look forward to working with you and your children.
