Letter from the Principal

Dear Millville Elementary Families,
Welcome to another great year at Millville Elementary School. For those of you who are new to our school, welcome, and know you are joining an amazing educational community. Our teachers and staff are passionate, hardworking, and caring. Our central focus is our students and their progress. We work collaboratively to maintain our high standards while making personal connections with each child.
This is my seventh year as principal of Millville Elementary, and my 23rd year in education. I taught 6th grade for nine years and I have been in administration for the past 13 years. It is my responsibility to ensure that every student has access to a quality education. I truly feel like I have the best job in the world as I get to work with great students, dedicated educators and passionate, caring parents. I look forward to strengthening those relationships this year.
I believe very strongly that we all want what is best for the students of Millville Elementary, and that goal will be achieved through meaningful collaboration between school, students and parents. I am always open to suggestions on how we can improve. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Each school year brings change and 2023-24 is no different. We would like to welcome the following teachers to the staff of Millville:- Théo Anderson, ESL

School Hours:
Monday thru Thursday 9:05--3:35, Friday 9:05--2:20
In the interest of safety, please do not drop off your children before 8:45 as there is no supervision before that time. Students should be picked up from school by 3:45 pm Monday-Thursday and by 2:35 pm on Friday.Attendance:
Each teacher starts the day with curriculum based practices. Consistently tardy students miss essential building block skills throughout the year. Students who have excessive absences also miss critical instruction. Please help them be as successful as possible by having them in attendance as much as possible. All students who arrive after 9:05 must check in at the office. If your child will not be present, please call and inform our school office at (435) 752-7162.Meal Prices:
This year, school lunch is no longer free. Breakfast, which is served from 8:45 - 9:10 AM, will also be $1.40. Lunch will be $2.05 for students. Lunch menus will be sent home monthly and can also be accessed on our school website in the "Quick Links" section.Drop off and Pick up:
Use the front of the school (east) and the south of the school for pick-up and drop-off. Please do not use the north parking lot for dropping off or picking up.School Supply List: Grade level supply/donation lists are available on our website or you may view it here Notice: the items on the list will be used during the regular school day. They may be brought from home on a voluntary basis, otherwise, they will be furnished by the school. Please refer to the district website for board policy regarding student fees and fee waivers.
I am looking forward to another great year here at Millville Elementary.
Sincerely,
Brady Johnson
