Superintendent Steven Norton

  • Steven Craig Norton was born and raised in Preston, Idaho and currently resides in North Logan, Utah. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, and together they have enjoyed raising nine beautiful children. Steve received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1974, Masters of Education in 1975, and Doctorate of Education Degree in 1994 (all from Brigham Young University).

     

    Dr. Norton has served as Superintendent of Schools in the Cache County School District since 1996. Prior to coming to Cache County School District, he served as Superintendent of Schools in Blackfoot School District No. 55 from 1990-1995 and as Asst. Superintendent of Blackfoot from 1988-1989. He also served as Superintendent of West Side Joint School District No. 202 in Dayton, Idaho from 1984-1987. Prior to holding Superintendent positions, Steve has also served as Principal of West Side High School from 1980-1985 and as Teacher/Counselor at Lincoln County High School in Panaca, Nevada from 1975-1980. In addition to his educational service, Dr. Norton also served as Chaplain in the Army National Guard 1457th Engineer Battalion, Vice-Chair of the Bingham County Cancer Society, member of the Blackfoot and Logan Rotary Club, District Vice-Chair of the Boy Scouts of America, Charter President of the Clifton Lions Club, and numerous other civic committees.

     

    Dr. Norton has served on the Governing Boards of the American Association of School Administrators and of the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.
