Math Instruction & Support

At Cache County School District, we lay the foundation for lifelong learning by fostering strong numeracy skills and reasoning in our elementary students. Our research-based  math curriculum nurtures critical thinking, logic, reasoning, fluency, and problem-solving skills.

Strong math skills are key to future success. Our curriculum helps all students develop:

  • Early Numeracy
  • Critical Thinking
  • Flexible thinking about numbers and their relationships
  • Fluency in computation (+, −, ×, ÷)
  • Conceptual Understanding
  • Problem-solving with logic and reasoning skills

Children Experiencing Difficulties

Throughout the year, student progress is monitored and instruction is adjusted as needed. State and district assessments, including Acadience Math, are used to measure student achievement.

Twice a year, Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC) are held for the purpose of reviewing the academic progress of each student with their parents/guardians. If you would like information in addition to these scheduled conferences, please contact your child's teacher.
