Special Education

The Special Education Department ensures students with disabilities receive services aligned with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).We work with schools, families, and our community in ensuring that identified students with disabilities receive special education and related services and that they have available to them a free appropriate public education that emphasizes specially designed instruction. A full range of Special Education programs and related services are available to children ages 3-22, living within our school boundaries, to meet their unique needs and for them to access and progress in general education curriculum as appropriate.
