Miss Sheppard guides Wellsville Elementary’s littlest Wolf Cubs to love and protect those even smaller than themselves. Her dedication and caring have earned her Wellsville’s 2025-26 Teacher of the Year award.

The first-ever Cache Invest Nest Competition was held last month at Utah State University, where local high school students competed for over $11,000 in prize money. The event was a collaboration between the Cache CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies) program, the USU Entrepreneurship Center, and various sponsors involved in bringing the state-wide competition to Cache Valley.

CCSD high school students Evan Winger and Connor Smith threw their hat into the ring of The New York Times' "'Local Lens' Photo Essay Contest." Now, their work, "Stories That Grow in the Absence of People," is featured nationwide!

Cedar Ridge's Will Diepeveen and Green Canyon's Julianna Carrillo both won awards at the state level for their thoughtful responses to the prompt "I Belong."

Andrea Thompson’s journey from graduating from SV to teaching current Bobcats was a winding adventure. She wouldn’t have it any other way.
