Policy No. 6600 Inclement Weather

Cache County School District expects our schools to be open and functioning normally throughout the winter. However, extreme/sudden weather conditions may change the normal operating routine, including start/end times, bus routes, and school closures.

The Board of Education directs the Superintendent to develop and implement procedures regarding transportation and school closures during extreme inclement weather. If there is a decision to delay or cancel school, the Superintendent will decide as early as possible on a bad weather day.

The District encourages parents to make attendance decisions for their children based on their ability to get to school safely. As inclement weather and traffic will affect the bus schedule, the District asks that families be patient and understanding. The safety of our students and staff is our primary concern.
