Length of Contract
- The Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Chief Academic Officer, and Business Administrator's contracts will be full-time (245 Day Contract) as required by the public. All other contracts shall specify the number of days the employee is to be on full duty. These days will be scheduled by the Superintendent. The remaining days will be considered holidays or vacation days except as the job description assigns responsibilities that may require the employee's time and attention.
- Any employee whose contract is for 245 days or more shall be entitled to an annual vacation without salary deduction according to the schedule for vacations listed in the District vacation day schedule.
- An educator's contract year will normally be 186 days. Provisions may be made by the Superintendent to extend the length of the day and shorten the number of contract days, and/or other related adjustments to provide for special programs, i.e., year-round education, summer programs, evening school, etc.
- Contract minutes shall be added to the school year (total minutes) only with the approval of the negotiating teams unless required by State or Federal mandate or by law. 1994-95 School Year shall be considered the basis of this item.
