Policy No. 2050: Reporting and Transparency Policy

The Cache County School District Board of Education acknowledges its responsibility as a steward of public funds, which are entrusted to support the education and success of its students. Accordingly, the Board acknowledges the importance of transparent and timely communication with all stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, and the broader public.

To support this commitment, the Board directs the Superintendent to develop and maintain a Comprehensive Communication Plan that ensures transparency and effectively communicates the district’s goals, operations, progress, and accomplishments. This plan should utilize various communication tools, including traditional (e.g., printed publications) and digital platforms (e.g., the district website, social media, email newsletters, etc.).

Annual Reporting

Each year, the Superintendent shall provide a formal progress report to the Board of Education, covering the following district plans and initiatives:

  • Strategic Plan
  • Facilities Master Plan
  • Communication Plan
  • Technology Plan
  • Assessment Plan
  • Professional Development Plan
  • Transportation Plan
  • Annual Budget

Additional plans and initiatives may be presented to the Board at its request at any point during the year.

Ongoing Communication Practices

The Superintendent shall ensure that the district’s communication practices align with relevant policies, including those found in Policy Series 7000, which outlines expectations for transparency, stakeholder engagement, and public accessibility to information.
