2026-27 School Year Changes
The 2026-2027 school year is bringing some exciting changes to our school district. We will be opening two new middle schools and one new elementary school, moving our Dual-Language Immersion programs to magnet schools, expanding full-day kindergarten to all elementary schools, and transitioning sixth grade into the middle school environment.
What's Changing
Boundaries & Transportation
New Boundaries: You can view all 2026-27 boundaries to see how your neighborhood is affected.
Bus Routes: Bus routes will be adjusted according to new school boundaries and start times. 2026-2027 bus stops have not yet been identified. They will be added to the CCSD's transportation website once they are finalized.
Grade Level Shift: Sixth grade will transition into middle schools across the district.
These adjustments mean our district will now be composed of:
- 17 K-5 elementary schools
- Two K-5 dual-language immersion elementary schools
- Four 6-8 middle schools
- Four 9-12 high schools
- One 9-12 alternative high school

How is transportation working for DLI?
As the DLI magnet schools open, all participating families will be responsible for their own transportation to and from school.
There is one exception. On November 20, 2025, the Cache County Board of Education voted to approve district transportation options for Nibley-based Spanish DLI students transitioning to South Cache Middle School. If utilized, this option will be available for the next four years. These transportation details are to be determined and will be communicated at a future date.
Where will my secondary students go for DLI?
Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, DLI students will progress through the program as follows:
- Chinese: Cedar Ridge DLI Elementary -> Juniper Ridge MS -> Green Canyon HS
- French: Spring Creek DLI Elementary -> Maple View MS -> Ridgeline HS
- Portuguese: Cedar Ridge DLI Elementary -> North Cache MS -> Sky View HS
- Spanish: Spring Creek DLI Elementary -> South Cache MS -> Mountain Crest HS
