Belief Statement

I believe that the best predictors of adult success are steeped in social skills.  The skills that are most likely to affect childrens’ future success are

  • Cooperation
  • Assertiveness
  • Responsibility
  • Empathy
  • Self-control

When children have a secure sense of belonging, ability, personal power, understanding of how others feel, and the ability to regulate their responses to problem situations in life, they are on their way to be productive citizens.

I am learning, and hope to adhere to the Responsive Classroom Philosophy.
