    A collection of links to free readalouds.  Scroll down the page to click the book jacket and watch the video of that story being read aloud.  Most videos show the pictures in the storybook.

    Reading For All Learners

    Also known as the Sam books or rainbow books, the owner has temporarily posted these readers for free during school closure.  Great early readers that include sound and word practice prior to each story.


    Choose a level and topic.  Practice reading simple books.  Click on the words to have them read to you when you get stuck.  Works online, but is also available to download as an app.

    Unite for Literacy

    Several picture e-books to click on and read.  Easy use format with no downloads needed.  Audio option available for every book.

    Scholastic Listen and Read

    Interactive storybooks about community helpers, animals and more.  

    Barefoot Books Singalongs

    YouTube Channel for videos of books with music and words to read and sing along!


    Darling animated stories.  Students pick topic for a book to choose.  Words highlight as you read along.  Requires account (free trial available).

    Between the Lions

    Stories to read and games to play. The fables and folktales are recommended. The words are highlighted as they are read aloud to animated stories.

    National Geographic for Kids

    Awesome photographs and animal information. You can read it, and/or have it read to you by clicking the audio icon on each page. Just like an online magazine. Very appealing for our young scientists.


    Choose books with or without sound.  There is even an option for books "with a choice" so students can help choose the storyline.

    Half-Pint Readers

    Kindergarten readers with simple, decodable text.  Free access online during school closure (no account or login required).

    International Children's Library
    These books do not have audio, but there are several to choose from to read online.

    Oxford Owl
    This is a library of ebooks that are tablet friendly. You will need to create a login, but it is free.
