Hi! I'm Miss Ellgen! I grew up in Northwestern Colorado! I graduated from BYU-Idaho and have taught 4th and 6th grades! Those are my two favorite grades.  I taught in Idaho Falls, Idaho before moving to Millville.  I love spending time with my friends and family.  I like being outside and playing sports.  I love to travel and have been to seven countries! I look forward to every new school year and watching my students learn and grow!

I grew up in Smithfield and now reside in Nibley with my two children and Chihuahua. I helped build my own house plus four others with a community home-building program. I enjoy challenges and learning new things. I like to be outside working in my yard and watching my kids play. I enjoy getting lost in a book and love to reread my favorites (Harry Potter is the best!). In 2015 I graduated from Utah State University and have been teaching at Millville ever since. I’m so grateful to be able to teach at such an amazing school!

My husband Randy and I have 5 children and family is very important to me. I LOVE to sing and sing just about everywhere.  I am the person you see singing along to the radio in their car, I sing while I cook, and I sing in class.  I enjoy reading, creating, and playing sports especially ultimate Frisbee and volleyball. I am an adventurous person and a small thrill seeker, meaning I really like roller coasters.  I also like to camp and hike. Traveling is a favorite pastime of mine. It gives me an opportunity to see and learn about new places and people.

I graduated from USU in 2003. This is my ninth year teaching. I have taught in Cache and Washington County school districts. I love to see people learn, I find it exhilarating.  My favorite part of teaching is seeing that moment when the switch flips and the light bulb goes on.  Then you know that knowledge is being created. My dream for my students is for them to learn to love learning.
