My favorite thing to do is spend time with my awesome husband, Mark, and my family! I have three kind and helpful sons, one best friend daughter, one wonderful son-in-law, and one fun loving daughter-in-law. I love to spend time outdoors either walking, working, or just relaxing. I am most happy on the California Coast or at Bear Lake. I also love to shop, boat, and hang out with our dogs. I am known as a lover of chocolate, sunflower seeds, and Diet Coke. I love teaching (especially math because it is like playing a game).  I feel blessed to have had so many fifth-grade students enrich my life by adding joy and laughter to my days. My advice is always: Be Good! Have Fun!

I grew up in Riverdale, Utah, graduated from Bonneville High School, and then Weber State University.  I served in the Army Reserve for 10 years as an artillery cannon crewman, medic, and field nurse.  I served an LDS mission to Hawaii and then worked in dialysis as a Registered Nurse. I married the most amazing person I know, my wife Cindy, and we have two beautiful daughters, Danielle and Kylie.  We love spending time together and are huge traditional gamers. Lately we are playing the game Settlers of Catan like crazy. I enjoy doing anything outdoors, but really like to see the country by rip-snorting on my motorcycle in the middle of nowhere.  I grew up hunting quite a bit and still love to go shooting.  I also love to read; give me a good book, some time, and I’m happy.  I’m a huge fan of history, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and stupid humor movies.  Pizza is my favorite food; I’ll eat any pizza!  I have always loved to learn and teaching is a great way to fulfill that continued love of learning.  I have taught since 1996 and love 5th grade students.  We laugh and learn together.  I benefit so much from their great examples every day.  They brighten my life and make me a better person.  I keep teaching because of the students; they are incredible.  I have been at Millville School since 2001; this community is the best.  Thank you for your kindness and for giving me the privilege and honor of teaching your most prized possessions, your great children.
