Dear Students and Parents,
I send you all a warm welcome to the 2021-2022 school year at Sky View. You are attending one of the top high schools in the State of Utah.
This year our theme is “It’s a Great Day to...”. With that it could be a great day to...attend an orchestra concert, attend a football game, take a math test, or make a new friend. We have an opportunity to have a fantastic year, but it will be better if we all can see we have a place of belonging and an important role to play in making it a successful school year.
We continue to make upgrades and improvements to this beautiful school that is now in its 58th year. We also continue to grow as we will have over 1500 students, which is a growth of 400 students since the division with Green Canyon High School five years ago.
What makes Sky View a great place to be is an outstanding, caring and dedicated teaching staff and tremendous student leaders. There are also rich traditions and a culture of excellence. We have students that achieve, work hard, and are involved in activities of value, both at school and in the community.
I would like to invite all Sky View families and alums to attend our “Bold & Blue” celebration on Monday, August 2nd, as we kick off a new school year with food, games, Sky View gear and an overall fun family event. Also, our incoming Freshman should attend our Bobcat Academy on Wednesday, August 18th to get acclimated and transition to SVHS. We are also introducing all freshmen to our RoCK Academy classes to help provide a great start to high school and provide peer mentors to guide them.
I am so honored and excited to be the Principal of Sky View High School. Our mission statement is Relationships, Character and Knowledge (RCK). I look forward to meeting each of you and working with you throughout the year. I invite each of you to make a determination to make this year the best. It’s a great day to be a BOBCAT!
