Heritage Elementary presents One School, One Book. This year we will be reading Sled Dog School by Terry Lynn Johnson. Every family receives a book, and every family reads the book together Jan. 24th thru Feb. 24th. Click here for more information and for the reading calendar.

Security Door Protocol
Security measures are in place for those entering Cache County School District elementary schools. You will experience a longer, more cautious process than simply pulling a knob and walking inside.

Heritage named a Monarch Waystation
Heritage Elementary is now a stopping point for the Monarch butterfly to feed on native plants and lay its eggs on milkweed plants. As these endangered butterflies discover our garden, our garden will continue to increase in butterfly population. Come check out our garden and hopefully see the different life cycles of this magnificent species.

Utah First Lady Abby Cox recognizes Cache County Schools for their efforts to include students with disabilities
Earlier this month, First Lady Cox spent time interacting and playing with students with disabilities at Heritage Elementary School. She also announced that Mountain Crest High School will be recognized as a Special Olympics National Banner Unified Champion School.

Team of students from Green Canyon High School named State Finalists in Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition
A team from Green Canyon High School has been named one of 300 State Finalist teams in the 13th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition. Their entry is a STEM project designed to grow algae to capture nitrogen and phosphorus from wastewater and then use it to capture carbon to make a sustainable biofuel. Supporting our Students' Mental Health
Since implementing Project AWARE four years ago, Cache County School District has made significant progress in addressing its students' and staff's mental health needs. Through Project AWARE, the district implemented several strategies and programs that have improved mental health and access to resources throughout the district.
