SPECIAL EDUCATION

  • The Special Education department assists schools, families and our community in ensuring that identified students with disabilities receive special education and related services in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Improvement Education Act (IDEA) and that they have available to them a free appropriate public education that emphasizes specially designed instruction . A full range of Special Education programs and related services are available to children ages 3-22 in our school boundaries to meet their unique needs and for them to access and progress in general education curriculum as appropriate.
     
    Special Education services may include: Academics, Assistive Technology, Audiology, Behavior, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Therapy, Testing, and Vision.
